I've read tons and tons on this topic lol.
It's not necessary to buy the expensive cleansing conditioners like Wen. A normal cheapo conditioner from the dollar store can work as a cleansing conditioner as long as it doesn't have silicones in it. Silicones can be problematic for a lot of people and interferes with the cleansing. There are many different types of silicones. The water soluable kinds are OK for cleansing. I can't remember all the names for them right now, but a Google search should bring some up.
All conditioners have cleansing properties, they're just not as strong as shampoo and you need to really work it into your scalp and massage it well to clean.
