electrophoresis can sort out a mixture of just about anything.

It's crap (and I use that term loosely) because I work with them everyday.

They are just tools used to answer questions.

And they don't always work. A western blot, in principle, should be the simplest thing in the world to do - but it isn't. It can take months to get usable data from one.

Northerns are just about impossible and southerns are nearly as bad.

Have you ever heard of a "Far western" blot? That one is kinda neat.
