stablon + cortisol levels

hi, i was interested in trying tianeptine for a diagnosed combination of depression, OCD and ADD

i know that SSRI's (which i can't tolerate) raise cortisol and that tianeptine lowers it, but, shy of having my cortisol levels checked, are there any ways of determining whether tianeptine might suit my state of depression? or is it pointless trying to overintellectualize the issue?
