I would look at insomnia as possibly an indicator that the drug is doing what it is supposed to do. It might subside or disappear altogether over time. Start at a very low dosage and move up gradually. Perhaps you have an unusually low therapeutic dosage range. If not, at least you will be easing your system into seeing the drug on a daily basis. That might make it more tolerable and enable you to get to the higher dosages. I have seen Strattera work wonders for a few people with adult ADD. I never questioned them about insomnia, though. If I run into them, I will ask.
