I don't know your diagnosis or your age but your medical treatment sounds hopeless. Maybe you would be better off on a couple of hundred milligrams of morphine a day and nothing else. But that's not right either. The Valium will be a problem for you. 50mgs/d is such a lot. When I took that sort of dose I was really fearful/agoraphobic/unable to shop. You probably need a new doctor and I imagine that's a problem. You certainly need to think it all through for yourself. It's the sort of thing that takes ages to sort out even when you are controlled and systematic. But stick around hey, I managed to get an opioid/benzo problem much improved in a decade or so. It just doesn't get any easier as you get older.
