I hear both of you so clearly. If one more friend/family member tells me to "get it together" and stop using my mental illness as an excuse to not get things done, I am going to scream.
I've even had a family member tell me to throw out all my meds and just "deal with life." This is from a sis-in-law who who is so happy and motivated all the time, she has no clue whatsoever.........has never been anxious or depressed in her life!
