Unfortunately I can"t offer you anything about the synergy between Remeron and SSRI's, in fact, I'm considering going that route myself.

However, you wrote that Buspar can CAUSE anxiety (you said it elevates the S2 serotonin receptor, and in turn aggravates anxiety at that receptor) -- this is news to me because I thought Buspar is to HELP calm anxiety? At least that is what someone I know who was having anxiety was given Buspar for!

Like you, I am not willing to gain weight, but you said that you "have ways around that" - WHAT WAYS? I'd love to know them since I may be put on a low dose of Remeron.

I don't know if it's true that Remeron is "stimulating" at high doses, all I've heard is that it loses its SEDATING properties at high doses.

Sorry I couldn't be of specific help to you. I'm curious as to your answers to my questions, though! Thanks.
