Geno,

IF it wasn't for TCA's cardiovascular sfx, I think Elavil would be superior to Remeron generally. It doesn't make you nowhere near as hungry and it is easier to build some tolerance to the sedation from the TCA than Remeron. Also, Elavil seems to be "energizing" without making you anxious like Remeron can.
