In reply to Mark In Boston and SalArmy4me Hows it going?, posted by missinglynx on February 21, 2001, at 8:01:32
Working perfectly? No. I feel fairly good with about 150mg Effexor/day, but I think I'm getting some high-serotonin induced apathy creeping in. I just started another test cycle with 5mg Androgel bid. My test/estradiol numbers go from 240/50 baseline to 875/135 with the gel. The 240 is legitimately hypogonadal, so no weaseling necessary. With two packets of Androgel/day, I get to a high normal test and >2x normal estradiol. The estradiol is not helpful for libido and sexual function, but muscle gains are better and HDL doesn't drop. I'd like to get some quick gains in and then add an anti-aromatase like Arimidex to bring estradiol under 60 for libido and cutting down. I also take a diuretic to keep my blood pressure and fluid down from the extra testosterone and estradiol. I like being back on the juice. Muscles just feel happy and want to stretch, contract, and pump. I had a very tough time during my break from it going to the gym. I gave up on finding a doctor who would manage estradiol levels and not just testosterone and stayed with my regular doc and started test again.
Tell me more about CFS and your antibody test. Do the docs have an idea of what you've got?Mark
> I really appreciate the comments from both of you. It gives me something to think about while I plan my next 'strike"! I just got some semi bad news from a Reumatologist. It seems my neck xrays are arthritic, plus Ive got some abnormal numbers in one ANA antibody test... ITs all part of this exhausting Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. So if I dont make perfect sense on here, its due to the aformentioned.
> I guess you could say prescriptions have to be approched by me with real Caution... You both sound like your protical is working perfectly. Your hard work and research is paying off! Mark, have you gotten the testosterone issue covered? Im the KING at weaseling prescriptions I need..LOL sometimes they put me flat on my back... so much for brilliance... Im cutting back on the Effexor to 50 per day. 150 was just way too hyper... Never depressed but felt "wired" Ill work up slower. 75 seems to "prevent" dark depression. I feel thats very important. Plus after reading the withdrawl messages Im frankly Worried!!
