In reply to problem with eating side effects, Suggestion ?, posted by danf on June 21, 2000, at 17:44:32
Could it be a social phobia? Does it happen when you eat alone? I had these panic attacks whenever I had to eat in a restaurant or at other's houses. I'm not really social phobic but I do have a serious fear of weight gain and I used to have severe anxiety when anyone else saw me eat.
Then again, could be blood sugar levels. Been tested for glucose tolerance?
The shaking you get now could be some sign of serotonin syndrome, I don't know, just a possibility!!

It was so bad that I would go to sleep sitting up in a restaurant chair with full activity around me. This has continued to some extent & responds to light meals. It is not as bad but still present.

For about 2 hrs after a meal, I have increased tremour, nervousness, poor coordination, elevated BP to range of 160/100 HR to 100 or so. After a couple of hrs things settle back down. It happens every time. It it minimally affected by a full dose of Inderal that has otherwise controlled the shakes & BP /HR lability.
