Buspar has worked very well for me in combination with Serzone for two or three years now. I found it a very powerful drug - everybody's experience is different! For me, Serzone relieves my underlying depression while the Buspar seems to somehow unlock my energy.
I thought it was a peculiar combination of drugs when I first started on it, but have since found quite a few people (some who've posted earlier in this group) for whom it has worked well. Moreover it is about as free from risk of addiction / withdrawal problems as any drug I know - and I've been there, too!
