Has anyone seen "Carlito's Way" with Al Pacino? No matter how hard Al Pacino's character tries to change his ways for the better and leave his sorted past behind, it seems impossible as s**t from his past will not let go of him. And then he gets stabbed to death.
Can anyone relate to this? I can.
I've read it's important to learn from the past but not dwell on it, and to focus on the now and future. But sometimes the past just keeps rearing its ugly face in the present.

he gets shot and Sean Penn's character, the lawyer is stabbed. Can't remember, but my point is it's disheartening how this guy tries to let go of his past, but it just won't let go of him. It is a really good movie, though.

Um, the boat sinks.Sorry, really lame, I know. I just couldn't resist.
But I do empathize with you about spoilers. I hate when I tivo something and then find out what happened before I get to watch the thing.

Its not too late to watch it..
The start of the movie, is actually the ending (kind of) and you don't know if he actually dies (kind of)
Hope that didn't spoil it more. Seriously, its a great movie, the middle parts are the best, theres a romantic story thrown in there somewhere too. I won't say any more!
Watch it :-)
