so I had a new pdoc appt, my previous pdoc retired, and I was hesitant to go to a new one to adjust the meds, but after the bad allergic reactions on wellbutrin in addition to the zoloft, I knew i had to get professional pdoc help.
she is fantastic. she suggested increasing my dosage of 100 mg of zoloft to 150 mg, now on day 7 and when I was posting my updates on the wellbutrin here, it helped me alot in the assesment, plus thank you all for your feedback. the hair loss has slowed increasingly, I no longer have hair everywhere, and it does feel better to not have the hair on the pillowcase in the morning!
day 1 - felt good
day 2 - felt great
day 3 - felt ok
day 4 - missed full dosage, super bad day
day 5 - horrible day
day 6 - spent most of the day in bed
day 7 - nauseated, foggy, depressed.pdoc dx's me with severe depression with Dysthymic something or other. I'm hoping to feel better soon. I gained 2 lbs this week at my weigh in, but that has to do with me feeling super bad and eating anything and everything under the sun in attempts to feel better. my last binge was sunday, back to normal on monday even tho feeling foggy. Today I had to force myself to eat dinner, feeling nauseated most of the day.

I'm making some coconut rice pudding if you need some comfort food.

Have you considered adding Deplin as a booster for the zoloft? Lots of threads about it on regular meds. Scott is on it as well as quite a few others. It's consided a food and sides are sugar pill. Why not google it or go to the website Deplin.com. Love Phillipa

My opinion is that if 100mg of Zoloft isn't completely working, increasing the dose to 150mg isn't going to help much...unless you're using it for OCD.
SSRI's like Zoloft reach a saturation point pretty quickly were they almost completely fill up the serotonin reuptake transporters.
You might want to add a norepinephrine and/or dopamine med to the Zoloft to help with some of the depression symptoms. Adding Wellbutrin might help.

went to pdoc today. had meltdown for the last 2 days so my friend had me call for a special appt to re-evaluate. pdoc added effexor - 1 week of 37.5 then 75 for a half week then an appt to re-evaluate.
i dont know much about effexor so i'm about to do some research before i take any.
feeling exhausted/depressed/kind of hopeless.
