just motivation, in the case of my depression being fraudulent and invalid, and for whatever stupid reason i can't make myself anything other than this disgusting deadbeat, is there any pharmaceutical intervention that actually can help? seriously.

Man, I'm in the same boat. Anyone finds something good, tell me! Adderall worked wonders for me until it pooped out. Now I feel like I'm worse off.

What's this Clarinex?
Any good?
Selegeline's good stuff at the right dose for you IMO.

Clarinex is an antihistamine similar to Claritin. It came out just as the patent for Claritin expired and it went OTC.

nothing is working, the pramipexole just made things worse. desipramine a month or so back just helped fight oversleeping and overeating and gave unfocused energy that never helped me. i'm sorry to be so whiny and annoying i am begging for anything that could help. even if noone here can help, is just even so hard to express words an type sentences. this is teerible, i can't afford not to send something if ive been able to finish a message. it's so rare i complete anything. i need help somehow.

I know exactly how you feel. What has helped me is a combo of Prozac (80mg) and Wellbutrin (300 mg). They are both very stimulating, and together are the only thing that gets me up off the couch.

OK IFMP, here's what I'd do if I were you, knowing almost nothing about you.
Take 5mg selegeline or preferrably deprenyl each morning until you notice it. Then reduce the dose so you can sleep OK to maybe 3mg/d. That should take a while to sort itself out. But some people take 60mg/d. Not me certainly.

I need something stimulating but I am a habitualy coffee drinker, coffee gives me energy short lived. I dont know if I can handle the anxiety that comes with some of these drugs that give you motivation i.e. wellbutrin, nardil etc.
is Nardil addictive like Adderall.

>I've been taking Welbutrin for years and have never found it anxiety-producing. It apparently is for some people but definitely not everyone. You could as easily be among those who don't get anxious on it as among those who do.

Nardil is more of a relaxing medication, Parnate is the stimulating MAOI. I drink my coffee just fine on Nardil, in fact the mild stimulation seems to help me while on this med. When I was on Parnate, I had to cut my coffee consumption down to almost nill. Nardil can cause some hypomania when you first start getting an effect from it. This is kind of a false sence of euphoria is not the true antidepressant effect of the drug. It sure feels good though, when you have been really sick with atypical depression, and can barely get out of bed. Nardil is also the gold standard for relief of social anxiety. 90mg of Nardil with 1mg of clonazepam and my social and generalized anxiety is cut down to almost nothing. In the past I've use bupropion SR with Nardil. The combination is contraindicated, but helped me with the sexual and weight gain side effects of Nardil.Nardil is not addicting, but like any AD it should be tappered and not cut off cold turkey.
Take care,
Jedi

From the 1960 PDR on Ritalin:
"Restores mental and physical activities to normal or near near normal levals.....induces alertness, a brighter mental outlook and improved psychometer performance-a specific recommendation for chronic fatigue and lethargy.
Dexedrine:
PDR 1961-and also applys somewhat today:
Probably the basic antidepressant.....and certainly the most documemted is'Dexedrine'in depressive states thoes marked by lowered motivation, Dexecrine helps provide rapid symtomayic relief, the patient is more alert and responds more favorbly to their enviourment:
Availably
-in 5mg IR tabs
-5mg SR Spansule
-10mg SR spansule
-15mg SR Spansule

In reply to Amphetamines (ATS)AMP type stimulants, posted by Paulbwell on September 9, 2005, at 2:48:34
My main reason for looking into concentration drugs is that without caffiene/coffee, I have no desire or can hardly concentrate on reading, studying, resume writing, doing laundry or simple things and other things needed for one to get their life together. All my life I have always never done these things. It would be great to get this fixed so I can finally write a resume, search for a job, do some studying, learn something, even read those books that have been on my desk for many years that I have not even started to read. Coffee/caffiene helps temporarily get me to read and focus but it wears off in 25 minutes so it is useless.
