Hi everyone.
I suffer from treatment resistant depression that won't
quite go away. Over the past few days I've been taking a mg of
melatonin to help me sleep, and found that I woke up feeling
substantially more mellow than before. Has anyone experienced the same?

Hi Steve,
I have treatment-resistive depression, and melatonin supplementation makes me MORE depressed and makes it even more difficult to get up in the morning. Interesting our individual differences, eh?
Best wishes,
Mark H.

Before I started with prescription meds, my therapist suggested melatonin or valerian to help me sleep. Tried them both. They definitely helped with the sleep and with soothing raw nerves -- plus, I had (or, at least, remembered) some of the most vivid dreams on practically a daily basis.
After about two weeks of continuous use on either, tho, wicked bad headaches. Too bad.
