> It has been almost 4 months that I have been off of this med. I went threw the weaning process. going from 300 mg a day to none. The side effects and withdrawals were unbelievable I started feeling better physically but now am having a great amount of anger and neck pain. I seem to have no patients for anyone or anything. Can anyone please tell me how long before I feel better.

Hi I am new here this is my first post to this board I have used other boards for information and support in the past.

I went off effexor cold turkey in Nov 2007 and had a very wild ride. I had to ct due to health reasons. I am now almost 19 months post ct and there are still symptoms sad to say. I did not restart any other medications and am trying to stay clean of them. I feel if I were to restart it would fix the problems but I would just have to withdraw later so don't see the sense in it.

I think a good part of healing from wd was done after a year but feel I am not out of the woods yet. For specific information on effexor withdrawal you may want to check the board effexor activist I have done a bit of reading there is it a read only site. There is another interactive site with a few effexor withdrawal people on it at paxilprogress.org this site deals with all antidepressant withdrawal issues the name is a bit misleading.

Wish you well.
