Has anyone ever successfully withdrawn?

Posted by TimeLord on January 21, 2009, at 10:29:21

I've been on meds for almost 21 years. My doc thinks that CBT is a great choice for me and took me off my meds, which has been iffy at best...

I am unable to sleep well, I am super apathetic, I get OCD thinking and am NOT diagnosed OCD (or ever was)... but my anxiety is gone and panic.

However, I worry that I am never going to get back to normal, that I'll always feel messed up. I've only been off the meds for 8 months and had to take them for a short interval (one week) to get some freaking sleep, but apart from that, has ANYONE ever gotten off these meds successfully? Anyone you know? I can't find ONE success story anywhere... and that makes me really wonder about long term use and damage caused by it.
