> Hey jules... Thats great you are doing better.. gives me hope too.. and yes acupuncture does work no matter what the docs say... they need to be more update with other cultures , etc, and treating the whole person... I'm fortunate to have a pretty good insurance plan through my work that I can use to help pay for my acupuncture.. and im not having to go as often so it saves money here too... we'll see once im completely off if i need to bump up my visits... im taking it one day at a time
HOw long have you been med free??

hey musky,

> yep, i'm totally med-free for the first time in 8 yrs. but if you remember i'm the one who had the incredibly long tapering off of remeron...like over 2 yrs! :) life circumstances made me and my doc want to take it really slowly so that whatever w/d effects i was feeling we could monitor carefully, and if i was going through a big stressful event i wouldn't have the added stress of decreasing my dosage. i was terrified i would get suicidal again and wanted to be conservative about reducing. the extra time also gave me time to get really religious about my diet and exercise and take really good care of myself, lean on my support network etc. i have a gifted therapist and just feel really lucky to have come out of this depression...it's been a long road though.

> i'm going to get back into acupuncture this summer - you've inspired me. i was going last year and had to cut back because of money, but i'm going to budget for it and add it back into my healing routine. i wish more therapists would recommend bodywork; it's so helpful.
