> I think this is your problem jenico... maybe quitting cold turkey was not the best idea.. I dont really want to tell u to take the remeron again.. but just try to ride it out... I think most of us are tapering.. very slowly.. i know its frustrating but slow and steady does win the race.. My acupuncturist told me right from the beginning to wean VERY VERY slowly... unlike most docs.. out there tell people to wean on a much faster rate.. thats how you get into trouble.. Have you thought of acupuncture for insomnia ??? worked for me! your doc will just give you more sleep meds, etc.. and that will only TEMP help not FIX the prob...
Good luck
try to hang in!!!
dont think about not sleeping .. just do...and the body will sleep ... its a survival mechanism..MUsky
I'm in total hell. It has been nearly two weeks since I quit taking remeron (cold turkey), and I really had no problems prior to the last few days except for total insomnia, which is why I started taking it in the first place so I don't necessarily think that's rebound. Anyway, for the last few days I have had uncontrollable eye darting, can't hardly close my eyes due to the muscle fatigue of them moving around. My doctor prescribed trazedone yesterday-I took it for the first time last night (100 mg) and had no sleep affects whatsoever. I added 1/2 ambien and maybe got 2 hours of sleep. I'm a wreck and can't help but think this is withdrawal. Any ideas? My doctor wants me to take 100 mg trazedone and 10 mg of ambien tonight.
