That supports my observations about depression often having its root in circumstances. Conventional therapies, to me, often look like the tail wagging the dog, where the first line is to attempt to treat the depression itself, with the expectation that the same circumstances will somehow be OK with "successful" treatment, i.e. an "attitude adjustment".
Bad job? Take a pill. Bad marriage? Take a pill. Bad social life? Take a pill. And on and on.
