In reply to sorry you were ignored ;-( (nm) » Phillipa, posted by wildcard11 on April 12, 2006, at 9:24:07
Okay, W.C
I'm chuckling as I write this, because I so often worry (worried) about the same thing on Babble, well, (and in life too, but that's another story)
You don't know for sure it was ignoration (homemade word) it could have been dealt with via babblemail. I know that people have said nice things to me on babble, or asked me a question and it looks like I've totally ignored them when in fact I wrote to them privately.
I've often want to post "To anyone who's privately feeling bad for so and so, I did respond" ; )And sometimes people don't know what to say, and need a while..
Some people accept apologies by not directly acknowledging them but simply resuming friendly conversation. That's how my dad used to work,
I could apologize and he'd say nothing, but then if he asked me at dinner if I'd like more mashed potatoes I knew it was accepted. And other times, you just need to let yourself feel good an p*ssed off for a while too, (if that's the case) before you're ready to accept.
So there
Life lessons that you already knew,
From someone not a *whole* lot older
and no wiser than you..
