Wow! So many things I want to address in this thread.
1st off, Ambien: I've seen my brother go to sleep on Ambien, while standing, leaning against a wall. And he couldn't remember past a certain point that night. Its pretty potent.
Insomnia: I'm reading that book by Stephen King right now! I read it years ago but didn't remember much about it. (Okay, that was random, I know).
Nurses: You are truly amazing people. I really am in awe. I spent alot of time with nurses while caring for my Grandmother, both in hospitals and the dialysis center. I'll never forget the dialysis nurse who would call me whenever he thought I should know something about her condition, or how kind the nurses were when they took Grandmother off life support.
And as for something less sad, a hobby: I bought a beginners kit to learn how to knit. I haven't started yet, but I think I might like it.
Since I'm trying to find exercise that I enjoy, I'm looking into buying a bike so I can explore the trails around here, and I also plan to start doing yoga again at home (which I used to really love). And today I discovered some dvd's that use dancing as a workout. They looked really cool!
I know these are pretty solitary activities, but I have to start somewhere. I'm so inactive right now, but knowing myself, its just a matter of taking that first step to get me started. I'm the biggest procrastinator on earth, and I've already mentioned some of these things at one time or another, but I feel a change coming on. I know I can't just keep on the way I have been if I want to actually 'live' my life instead of just watching it go by. I've been taking baby steps to change. I think maybe its time I took grownup steps.
