Animals are the wise ones. While we run about and create complications in our lives, worry about everything. All the caveats of our perceived progress.
Then there they are. Serene and awaiting attention. Only motivated by hunger and a desire to be loved.
I find it an oddity, perhaps even a flaw, that a stray cat upon approach can make a person bend down. Possibly get some kind words followed with a soft hand across the fur. Possibly be picked up and later given some small snack or even a meal. But if I were to stand on the corner, arms outstretched, awaiting a caring embrace. I would be thought a loon. Perhaps escorted away by the authorities.
I'm saddened by our seeming loss of random compassion. That the fear of this world suppresses our loving nature.
I'm new to babble, and I think that is why I am here. Here is cultivated a rediscovery of that nature. It's a beautiful thing to perceive, and it makes all of us here better people.
