**My T tends to run long. I must admit, I get a little annoyed when the session before mine runs long, but my sessions sometimes run 10, 20, 30 minutes over. I try to tell myself to be sensitive to the fact that she should give the person she's with a little extra time if they need it. I always appreciate it when she spends extra time with me, so I should extend that same courtesy to her other clients.
I think my T tries to take at least a few minutes in between sessions. She'll often pop into the waiting room and tell me to go ahead in, she just has to run to the bathroom. I hope that's just one of her ways of taking a little breather between sessions, and that she doesn't feel like she needs to really prepare herself (in an "oh no, not this one again" kind of way) before she sees me. :)

I asked my therapist if I could be in the morning while he's fresh, and while he could only do that one day of two because of his schedule, at least I know I asked.**I haven't requested to be her last appointment of her day or morning, it just sort of worked out that way these last two semesters. Good for you for being able to tell your therapist about your scheduling preferences, and it's good that he made an effort to accomodate you. I think I'll try to mention that I would rather see her on Wednesdays, because aside from the fact that I won't have anything right after my session, it'll occupy part of that entire free afternoon.
