I recall a couple of things about ACh(n) receptors. For one thing, I seem to remember that they're involved in dreaming. Also, if memory serves, they're blocked by certain venoms, such as those of some types of snakes (e.g., kraits (bungarus), cobras (naja)), classified as neurotoxins. Succinylcholine is another antagonist acting at the neuromuscular junction. There are a bunch of nondepolarizing agents as well, I don't recall any names at the moment (I believe a lot of them are derived from curare, or at least their names are). They're used as skeletal muscle relaxants in general anaesthesia.
Why do you think the nicotinic receptor is important for you?
