I have not taken either of those meds, but your reasoning sounds correct to me, that together they would be like ixel in that you'd be hitting both NE and SE. Wellbutrin might work for you too. It's a powerful NE re-uptake inhibitor, with a very small effect on the re-uptake of dopamine as well.
If you're having major, major problems with fatigue and/or brain fog like I was, ask about provigil, too. I can't say enough good things about it. It is like strattera in that it is a new class of stimulant, non-habit forming. It mostly affects the re-uptake of dopamine, but works on NE as well. I much prefer it over trivastal for my dopamine issues. Like strattera, it is used for ADD as well as an augment to SSRI's all the time. And unlike what I'm reading about strattera, it works right away. According to wikipedia it may take 3-4 weeks before you notice any benefit from strattera. But then again, maybe that only applies to people who take strattera on its own.
Good luck on your quest! Here's to feeling good!
