My doctor took me off Remeron recently because I was starting to feel depressed again, and had me start Zoloft again, which was the first AD I ever took and was very effective once (he also chose it hoping to treat my really bad PMS).
At first I felt great (hypmanic?) but then the last few days I had really bad anxiety and it reminded me somewhat of the mixed episode I had the last time I tried Zoloft alone, before being diagnosed bipolar.
Now I take lithium and lamictal so I didn't think I'd have this reaction. It's not AS bad as pre-mood stabilizers, but pretty bad.
Last night I went back to my Remeron and took that before bed and feel SO much better - no anxiety today!
Could it be that simple? Yesterday I was taking Seroquel and it helped calm me but I still felt like crap emotionally (depressed, fragile). Do you think I should try taking the Remeron and Zoloft together (I see my pdoc next week)?
I was up to 100mg on the Zoloft (150 during PMS) and had only been on it a month. Today out of fear I only took 50 mg. Should I go back to 100 mg? Any opinions on any of this would be great. Thanks so much.
