there's times, i was extremely depressed a few nights ago, i mean talking depressed, as in impairment. I took my night dose of latuda, about hour later, i noticed i didn't have depressed negative hopelessness feeling. It did seem to lift out of it, but most of the time, it does not. Latuda is agonist on one the serotonin receptors, rexulti is both, i don't want to do sceitific review, rexulti partial agonist on on D2 receptors and serotonin. If dopamine levels are high transmissioning, it reduces it from antagoist, but if there is no tranmission, it lifts dopamine to baseline. If your manic and take rexulti, it will reduce transmission, but antagonist to underactive increases transmission. But it's expensive very much, but its for major depressive disorder. Latuda is for bipolar depression, so im guessing it antagonizes he receptors that are active in overactive bipolar transmission. I would like to try rexulti but expensive, and doctor does not listen and stays with medications that don't work. There coming up with new antipsychotic that have agonist properties for depression
