For most of the past year, most people thought the mRNA vaccines were superior to J&J. This is because the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines produce more antibodies than J&J. Now J&J is getting more respect because getting two shots of it appears to be just as effective at preventing severe illness as Pfizer and Moderna. While J&J doesn't produce as many antibodies as the mRNA vaccines, the antibodies it does produce last longer. And a J&J booster produces far more T-cells than mRNA vaccines, and T-cells last far longer than antibodies, and might be more protective against emerging variants.
Since you've already gotten J&J and tolerated it well, chances are that you'll do just fine with a second dose of it. But you'd probably do just fine with a Pfizer or Moderna booster. They're all good vaccines and whichever one you choose will make you much safer.
