Keep and eye out for zuranolone (SAGE-217). September maybe?. It is an analogue of brexanolone (Zulressa) that is to be taken orally. There is no antidepressant out there that resembles this drug. It works on GABA as a positive allosteric modulator of the GABA-A receptor.
Zuranolone continues to be studied for post-partum depression, major depressive disorder, and bipolar depression. Reports look good so far.
