But my usual cycle is slower, that's for sure-- depression that lasts months with infrequent hypomania. This post-trip cycle was unique in that I was unusually euphoric then it switched quickly into a really angry, withdrawn state.

The travel experience has gotten better for me. I think it helps just being more aware of the possibility of moodswings. I'm also starting to avoid events that I know will be overwhelming.
