When a 1st started phenelzine I was told to increase dose very slowly. I was told that they had a female patient start on it with great success but climbed the dose too high too quickly. She had a fit/convulsion. But they weren't too worried about that. She had to stop of course, but when they tried it again it didn't work. Didn't matter what dose. And she wasn't epileptic.
