I've been at 2000mg of metformin for years. HAs done nothing to attenuate Nardil weight gain or Abilify weight gain. I went from 225 to 275 from 10 months on Nardil, and that was while exercising and lifting weights (so some of that is muscle, but I was already overweight at 225, i'm 5'11).

Wondering if metformin at 3000mg a day would be effective? I know the highest dose i've heard of is 2550mg a day (3x850). I haven't heard that metformin dosage is related to weight, but who knows.

Any thoughts on 3000mg? And what would i look for in terms of effectiveness or side effects if i wanted to try?
