The plot thickens.
I posted recently about having suddandenly become sensitive to my 2.5 mg Lexapro. I have decreased my dosage to 1.25 mg, and called my doctor, but can't see her for two weeks. Meanwhile, every day is a challenge and I keep crying uncontrollably.
Well, it occurred to me tonight to check on something. And it turns out I'm right.
The pharmacy has changed my generic manufacturer of Lexapro. From teva to accord healthcare.
I'm not 100% sure when the med changed, but I can pin it down to the last few months. And I'vebeen spinning out of control for almost three months, gradually worsening. It feels exactly like when the dose was too high.
I'm not taking any more of this. I'll see how I do without any med. And I do know brand name Lexapro will work for me if I need that, although expensive.
I'll post updates.
Diagnosis: recurrent melancholic depression
Meds: Lexapro since Spt. 2009; currently on 2.5 mg plus occasional l-tyrosine.
