In reply to how will lithium affect me? minocycine works, posted by Jeroen on February 1, 2014, at 17:06:54
Jereon I think most people including myself get some sluggishness and brain fog with lithium. It really depends on the size of the dose. The first time I took it was a very low dose and I got an immediate excellent antidepressant effect. But it didn't last long and I couldn't get it back no matter what. It was sort of like your experience with seroquel.
Anyway, I feel lithium has the potential to help you but then maybe not, but the important thing is to try it to see what happens.
Hey, it's a natural salt of the earth. I think the only time I do not favor at least trying lithium is when they prescribe those large doses for proper blood level for mania. I don't recall how high in dose I got on lithium but I remember the best antidepressant dose for me was around 150mg, which is pretty low.
