Hi there! I take LDN for Fibromyalgia. I know, yes, I know, that every frickin' site I look at has a loooong list of all the meds you can't take with LDN - and that includes alllll the pain meds/opiates. Here's my question: If we take away the fear and hysteria, what is the truth? If I take a tiny dose of LDN at 10pm, and am having a really bad pain relapse let's say for 2 days - why can I not take a low dose of pain meds let's say in the afternoon? I'm NOT suggesting taking them at the same time and yes, I know, the LDN blocks the opioid receptors. BUT, 10 hours later the receptors have been free enough for some people to get relief from Vicodin, let's say.
IF you were a doctor, chemist, pharmacist.....I'd really appreciate someone explaining to me why, scientifically, it is actually dangerous to take a tiny amount of opiates many hours after the LDN....for only a couple of days.
The only people who have responded so far just tell me not to do it. Headbang! I get it. I get that everyone's being afraid of getting sued, etc. - but my goodness, I'd really just love some honest answers. Bc when I talked to the local compounding pharmacists they reluctantly admitted that in the verrrry specific scenario I'm discussing, they don't see where the danger is either. They weren't sure the pain med would work (it did, in my case).
If you're going to bash me, please don't. I've had enough of that to last at least one lifetime. ;) I'm just looking for brainy people who are willing to think outside the box - and ideally for some studies. But, there's no money to be made, so there are no studies. Maybe people in other countries can weigh in? Thanks brainiacs! <3
