Hi I am about to go on Lyrica 75mg 2x a day. This morning while doing some research on this med, I can across a site where some people were complaining of having had permanent memory loss caused by Lyrica. Here is the link
http://m.prescriptiondrug-info.com/Discuss/Does-anyone-taking-Lyrica-have-memory-loss-173971.htm
This scared the crap out of me. I don't mind memory loss if it goes away once a med is stopped, but if it is PERMANENT!?
I will talk to my doctor about this, but wanted to know what you guys think. Would you say that there's a chance other meds could cause permanent memory loss as a maybe rare side effect? Or would you think it might be more common? Also does anyone think Atypical Antipsychotics(such as risperdal) are safer compared to Lyrica in terms of permanent memory problems? Is anyone who has taken Lyrica short-term/long-term and have their memory successfully come back after discontinuation? And had anyone here had hearing problems while on Lyrica here's a link where some others have had hearing loss (http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/opinions/13505/)
Please help if you can. Thank you!
