i know it would usually be best to follow the doctors orders. and i will take it exactly as prescribed. but, he didnt even believe me about the chronic dopamine agonist withdrawal i have. which i have and have had for 2 years. and with my experience with taking a single dose of ritalin after the mirapex messed me up, further unnatural dopamine stimulation could really be bad for my mental health. i would LOVE to be able to try meds and not worry about them possibly affecting me long term. my dopamine system is in such a funk that i cant even feel any effects from antipsychotics like risperdal or seroquel.
but psychiatrists choose to believe that my emotions just coincidentally went blank while i was on mirapex. or that my hair coincidentally started falling out twice as fast while i was on effexor a few years ago, and my hair still does it today. i have an atypical brain that doesnt revert back to normal after stopping meds.
