I was suppose to do a marplan trail 2 years ago after I had a very bad parnate experience <hypertensive crisis without food interraction>. Since its not available in the Canada, my PDoc had to ask health Canada to have the right to import it but it was too expensive around 200$ for 30 pills, the regular dose is 30mg a day thats mean 10 days with 3o pills and around 600$ for a month,so I say no... Marplan is suppose to be more well tolerated with less spontanous hypertensive crisis or orthostatic hypotension. The Nardil at a low 45mg day was horrible for me with the orthostatic hypotension that didnt wanted to stop even after 3 months on it, too bad cause the Nardil was good for my anxiety and each time I was on It <2 times> I was able to cut by half my Clonazepam dose from 4mg to 2 mg and sometimes less I always wonder why Im having so much cardiovascular effects from the Maoi's and the TCA's??? The second generation TCA's are the worse for me and 10mg of Nortriptyline is enough to make my heart race faster than the speed of light> I wonder if I can have a mitral valve prolapse problem? Even if I had a lot of normal heart tests done recently, maybe the Cardiologist dont see it... anyway if you try the Marplan just letme know how it is ok, im curious about its effect on anxiety disorders and also about is effect on the blood pressure, heart rate or side effects in general. Sometimes I wonder if I should ask to return on a low dose of Nardil since I find its the easier AD to take with no increase anxiety at first like the SSRI's...but again with ma fast heart and low blood pressure that I have since some months I guess it will be too dangerous to lower even more my blood prressure
