You may have to increase the dosage upwards to compensate for the development of tolerance. I doubt that the drugs will lose effectiveness, though. As far as addiction is concerned, temazepam is probably less addictive than clonazepam or alprazolam. I don't think one usually comes to crave temazepam. Physiological dependence is likely to develop, though, requiring a gradual taper when discontinuing.
