Hi there
I have a friend who was stuck inside her house for 6 years because of social phobia and anxiety. She developed the depression afterwards just from being in the house too long.
She tried Nardil but it knock her out and she couldn't take it. So she tried Parnate. It worked? Slowly she came back to life and was able to join the living again. She has been on Parnate since then.
I have been on Parnate once before. I stopped because I OD'd on it. My doctor that if I was so depressed to OD that the Parnate wasn't working. I guess in a way he was right but life's situation made me want to die.
This past October I restarted the Parnate for depression and social anxiety. Within a few weeks of being on 40 mg life took on a new meaning for me. I was able to get out of bed. I was finally able to stop crying. And I was able to venture outside and not have any anxiety. I became really outgoing and participated in life more. It was only when I got to 100 mg that my mood was consistant. I have been having trouble again but again, it's life's circumstances.
So to answer your question, YES, Parnate can be very good for Social Phobia.
I hope you give it a go.
