I've never taken seroquel, but have tried all the others (Atypical), and perphenazine. I think its the sedation that helps anxiety. I took Abilify which is not sedating and is realy energizing. It had my anxiety sky high. Geodon didn't help and was not sedating to me. I do now take zyprexa and perphenazine which are nicely sedating. I here that seroquel is more sedating that zyprexa. Zyprexa is the one that works best for my anxiety. Perphenazine helps too. I took remeron, which was very setating to me and did not help my anxiety. So it must be something else with the antipsychotics along with the sedation. I took risperdal too, which had me stuck in the house afraid to go out for any thing. But they gave me zyprexa and every thing was instantly better. I'm also psychotic(or atleast I was), and may be why the antipsychotics work. I know some one who took seroquel and it was realy good for anxiety. I think the trick with seroquel is to take a small dose in morning and a large dose at night.
