Out of doctors who prescribe Parnate (not many), yours sounds exceptionally slow to raise the dose.I think that's for 2 reasons. The first being that I respond to low doses plus he wanted to be sure I could tolerate the sedation.
Secondly I have come to realize that he is quite ignorant and I just learned that he has only treated around 10 people with Maoi's. This is scary for me. I think he is just trying to protect himself especially since I am prone to weird and rare drug side effects.
I am considering coming off it since I need alot of concomitant drugs for sleepiness and maybe OCD (if this indeed doesn't control it) and other minor ailments.
Its working even at 20mg and I'm sad that I may have to stop. But I am particularly angry at him for starting me on a potentially dangerous drug he knows little of- I mean I keep having to look things up and find him references!
Hmmm...
