If it has been working, I would also agree to continue on it. But do make sure that you have regular liver tests for nefazodone.
The main typical culprit for hunger is the antihistamine levels present in things like Seroquel, even head slamming antihistamines like Benadryl could make some people hungry (and it wouldn't surprise me that the same effect is in dimenhydrinate, its cousin, Dramamine, which after all is suppose to reduce seasickness, unless such things are due to things like Meniere's). But that's not terribly present in nefazodone
Beyond that its the alpha-NE I believe that is present in Remeron, Seroquel, trazodone, nefazodone that may play some role.
Others may have some more comments.
Ultimately though, its about getting some (reasonable level) of exercise and reducing intake of food, something I am facing constantly at the present with Seroquel, because its very easy for me to forget or fight my wishes in the morning not to eat so much cereal, e.g.-- tidings
