But if someone is wondering what the best meds for "anhedonia" are, those are top candidates standing somewhat higher than most any other reasonable treatments. Some of those actually aren't meds but I thought deserved to be listed as well since they can be quite effective.

I didn't list Selegiline because everyone I have ever heard of it that was on it longer than a year got the same apathetic anhedonia thing that SSRIs commonly do. Despite their longterm problems and backfires, they do have short-term anti-anhedonia potential.

I was wondering about the dopamine agonists like Mirapex or Requip. So far my doctor wants to try Modafinil for the severe anhedonia and see what happenes. Im off the wellbutrin because it did nothing for me and he says later on he may add mirapex later on to see if it helps.

I had told him the only thing that truly made me feel normal and functional were things from the amphetamine class like Adderall and dexedrine. However the crash from these meds can be unbearable and the addiction problems. Parnate might be an option, however I have tried other MAOI and they didn't work(selegiline, moclobermide, nardil) and the diet restrictions sucked. SO far I am only on the prozac now and will soon get my script for the modafinil at the pharmacy. Apparently modafinil has the pros that traditional stimulants have without the negative side effects and addiction problems. THat would be a God-send for me.
