Hi Phillipa,
Really, I don't know much about it. I knew something was wrong with my thyroid--every woman in my family suppliments, so I finall got a doc to give me a 'full panel'. (Some docs act like it's a big favor to check off a few extra boxes on their lab test forms!) Well, I'm producing anti-bodies to my own thyroid. Don't you have the same condition? My pdoc recommends that I keep my TSH level (I think that's it) on the low side--around 1 or 1 point something. So I do and has helped my whole being immensely--not cured my depression, bi-polar, anxiety, etc-- but I feel it is a crucial part of my treatment.
I'm curious about your own hashimotos. And the outcomes of your new doc consultation regarding hormones.
(I don't know how to babble or write you directly. Hope answering you this way is alright.)
warm regards,
Candace
