I've been on agomelatine for 4 months now. My main problems are GAD with some depression.
I'm having quite a good experience with it. The main thing is the complete lack of SSRI like side effects. No weight gain, emotional numbing or sexual issues.

As for its antidepressant effects its maybe not quite as robust as an SSRI responce the starting dose of 25mg, so I upped the dose to 50mg and its much better. Anxiety is much less too. Overall I'm happy to be on ago and not SSRIs anymore.

I've emailed servier UK on the EU release date they say later in the year (2009). I also found a quote from the CEO of servier UK saying Autumn 2009. So september I'm hoping.
