It's great that deplin helped you with Lamictal. Lamictal really helps me for about 4 to 5 hours, then the effect dissipates. It gives me a lot of energy and definitely lifts my mood, but I do still feel what you call "emotional agony". There is still definitely depression going on underneath the boost of energy.
I tried Deplin for a month and it had no effect. How long did it take you to notice an effect?
> Hard to say. I had taken Lamictal for years and had a good result at 400mg. But I wanted better. If I took over 400mg of Lamictal I couldn't sleep. When I started Deplin I had to cut my dose of Lamictal below 200. It was very weird, I could watch myself sleep. But the Deplin got rid of a feeling I call emotional agony. Nobody has any idea about how these meds will effect you. Deplin is an augmentation agent. Hence, I would think, it needs something to augment. The thing to consider is that you don't want to move too many pieces of the equation at once or you won't know which med is doing what. Its up to you.
