In reply to MAOIs + anorgasmia- why only one time?, posted by Mickapoo on November 23, 2008, at 6:12:45
> First of all, let me start with the fact that I'm female. :) I'm on Nardil 75 mg and Lamictal 300 mg. I suffer the lovely side effect of anorgasmia. It's been 4 months since I started Nardil at 45 mg, and the a few days ago I actually had an orgasm for the first time in 4 months! It was small and fast, but at least it was there. I was so ecstatic I must have danced around for like 5 minutes jumping up and down! I thought, ok good, they're back! But then last night I tried, and I couldn't. What's up with that? I thought once you broke free of that side effect that it would be gone. I'm confused! Have others had the same problem? Where now you can and can't- it's on and off? I've never had any trouble before the Nardil, never ever ever, so I know it's the Nardil for certain.

I think it has more to do with were you are in your monthly cycle with your hormone fluctuations. There are times when it's better, like when I'm mid cycle. I asked my doctor for some Viagra. One 100mg pill cost me like $15.00. It's cheaper this way, so I can split the pill. I only tried it once, and only took 25mg. The lower dose didn't do much. I'm going to take 50mg the next time and see what happens. I hear they are working on a female version, so it sounds very promising.
