For me, the SSRIs either induced temporary rapid cycling or made my depressive symptoms worse. I'm currently taking tianeptine, and I've found it to be a lot more consistent in its effects than the SSRIs. My mood and energy levels do seem to be elevated in comparison to how I was feeling before I started taking tianeptine, but I still experience all of my depressive symptoms on the tianeptine.
